The natural year actually starts in the Spring, in the Passover/Easter season, with the Passover month being the first month of the natural year.

The Jews used a two-calendar system which ran concurrently, to track the beginning of the natural year, and the civil/fiscal year. The economic/fiscal or civil year begins in the seventh month of the natural year.

Just a little Hebrew/Jewish Biblical history here.Daughter of Wisdomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01565795173054909961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-337246516238454866.post-78491760703641652102009-09-19T18:46:03.238-07:002009-09-19T18:46:03.238-07:00Visiblity is bad tonight. According to the computer image however, there is a cresent on the moon! I am going to call in the start of the new Biblical year tonight! Here is the thing. Sabbath years and Jubilee cycles are Biblical economic models/time frames. These were business cycles which God used to maintain and restore the economic prosperity of Israel. We are not living under the economy of ancient Israel, but these time periods are still valid, because they form the framework for many economic policies around the world, such as debt forgiveness/relief programs, charitable giving, land inheritance laws, etc. In addition, these time periods are the basis for counting time according to the Bible. The purpose of counting time is not so that we can fix dates for Christ's return, but to keep an account of time spent, and to estimate when the time of the end begins. I tell you, many Christians have an incorrect concept of when the time of the end should be and whether we are living in that time or not. Many are totally unaware that we are living in the time of the end. Many think the time of the end is somehow far off in the future, and many have deceived themselves into a false sense of security, putting their hopes in the Rapture, which by the way, will not occur before the AntiChrist appears.

As for the AntiChrist being a political figure, I have already debunked that. As for Iran and Israel attacking each other and causing Armageddon, I have already debunked that. Here is what we need to watch out for. An increase in Christian persecution around the world with the increased spread of the gospel into the whole world. Jesus warned us about these 'tribulations' and the spread of the gospel, after which, the end of the age will come.

World War III - it is possible, but God will not allow man to make a complete end of the world. God Himself will destroy the evildoers off the face of the earth, while sparing His chosen ones.

Economic hardship signaling God's return? Hardly likely. Economics have very little to do with God returning to earth. Economic prosperity is not a measure of spiritual prosperity (regardless of what you may have heard otherwise).

Keep on studying, and continue to to be true :-).

Peace and blessings,
HillaryDaughter of Wisdomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01565795173054909961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-337246516238454866.post-20087047122478912152009-09-15T09:03:58.264-07:002009-09-15T09:03:58.264-07:00Your post reminded me of this article I read a whi...Your post reminded me of this article I read a while back and saved.
