Devotional of the Week February 15-21

Revelation 4: 6-8

"And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come."

Around the throne of God angels cease not to give continous praise to Him. Truly, only God is worthy of all praise and adoration. While praising others for the good they have done is gratifying, no one, and I mean absolutely no one can claim holiness. Only God is holy, and as we lift our hearts in praise to Him, we will become changed by the power of His holiness. May the love of God rest and abide in our hearts this Valentine's and President's day, as we show love for each other and honor the Presidents who served this country. Let us give thanks to God for all that He has done through them, and let us remember that it is God who is ultimately deserving of the highest praise.
