The Hauser Case

Just to let everyone know that I am following the Hauser case very carefully in the news. In this case, a court ordered chemotherapy treatments for a teenager, Daniel Hauser who suffers from Hodgkins lymphoma, which is form of cancer. The problem is that the boy's family does not believe in chemotherapy, and the boy refused treatment after one treatment. His family is opting for natural cures instead. The boy and his mother are now on the run hiding from authorities.

This a case worth studying as this a case which pits religion against the law of the state, and natural cures against modern medicine. One thing is however certain: our personal belief systems based upon what we think is God's will for us, can have a strong impact on how we conduct our lives, and on how we interpret God's word.
