Devotional of the Week April 12-18

Acts 2: 22-24

"Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate conunsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it."

Easter marks the start of something new, and holds the promise of new life on Earth. While the world celebrates Easter, the people of God celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, for in Him there is life! He is the author and creator of life, and in Him everything is made new. He died and was resurrected to show us that He has the power over death, which is the enemy of life. In Him we can have hope for life eternal.
