Matthew 22: 34-40
"But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Love is what makes the world go 'round - our love for God and our fellow man. Without love, this world would be a cold, miserable place. Life would be unbearable. Love is what makes life worth living. Nothing makes you feel as good as love. Love is a great motivator, and drives us to do what is right for ourselves and others. When we love, our concern is about pleasing others, and doing what is right by them, and doing that which makes them happy. It is about bringing joy to others and showing concern. It is about being committed to their good, and never wishing them harm. Of such is the love of Christ.
